New visual changes to ChurchApp's Connect platform

We're really excited to take the wraps off a number of changes we've made to ChurchApp's Sunday-facing "Connect" platforms, which includes Child Check-in, My Details, Event List and Donate.

All of the applications have had a visual makeover so that information is clearer for the user and more intuitive to navigate. It's also easier to switch between applications, perhaps if you want to run multiple Connect applications from a single computer or tablet at your church Information Desk.

What's changed?

The most noticeable visual changes can be seen in the Child Check-in 'admin area'. The Check-Ins 'summary' page is much clearer and easier for your leaders to get an overview of children, visitor and team check-ins across all your groups.

Coloured progress bars show how the groups are filling up in relation to the adult-to-child ratios set for each of your groups based on the number of adult Team member check-ins vs. child check-ins, and the group's capacity.

You can also toggle between viewing the "Now" session totals, showing just those children that are still checked in, and the session "Total" view, showing all children who were registered, including those who have since been checked out.

Drilling down into any group shows the "Check-ins" page and a list of all the registered children. The 'Check in' and 'Check out' buttons are much clearer, and sorting the list and searching within the list is more intuitive. The check in/out functionality runs much faster now, with changes made across multiple devices showing in real time.

There's a brand new feature here too - selecting "Edit" at the top of the group page, you can now make changes to the group's capacity and adult-to-child ratio.

Clicking on any child in the list opens a pop-up child profile showing everything your leaders will need to know - photo/video consents, medical and special needs, additional information, custom fields, and importantly, the emergency contact details now for both parents where a child is correctly linked.

The "Details" page now shows a simple summary of the most important information for the entire group, providing leaders with a helpful snapshot of their group for that session. As before, the Attendance and Notes pages give your leaders access to recent group attendance and the option to add session feedback.

When checking in children using "Group search", there's a new "Search all groups" option that gives you one-click access for your search term. Perfect to make it easy to check whether a visitor or child has been registered with another group before you add them as a visitor for your group.
