We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchApp, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchApp between
30th April - 7th June 2016.
07-Jun-2016 - New 'Deleted' reports
Alongside the existing 'Deleted Contacts' and 'Deleted Children' reports you can now see a log of deleted Events, Rotas, Ministries, Small Groups, Givers and Bookings.
06-Jun-2016 - Leave Setup deletion - extra warnings
When deleting a User's Leave Setup in the Calendar module, you must now type "I CONFIRM", preventing you from accidentally deleting a User's Leave Setup and all associated leave bookings.
06-Jun-2016 - Change logs - Leave Setup
You can now see a change log of all of the changes made to the Leave Setup of your users in the Calendar module. Change logs show which user made the changes and when. You can even undo changes!
06-Jun-2016 - Change logs - Users
You can now see a change log of all changes made to your User's profiles by Administrators - like module permission or Site changes. A log is also added in the Administrator's profile when they add or delete a user, providing a helpful audit trail of Administrator activity on your account.
06-Jun-2016 - Change logs - Events and Categories
From today, you can now view a "change log" of all of the changes made against an event or an event category in your Calendar module. The change log can be found in the Recent Activity section at the bottom of an event page; just select "Changes".
06-Jun-2016 - View Gift Aid declarations for online donations
You can now view a full Gift Aid declaration for donations received online through ChurchApp Donate where the giver selects to allow Gift Aid to be reclaimed. Declarations are date/time stamped and include all the HMRC required information gathered at the time the donation was made. You can even print off the Gift Aid declaration if you wish!
03-Jun-2016 - Check-In Visitor Communication
Within the Children module, you can now filter and communicate directly with Visitors who have checked in their children. Begin by filtering the list by visitors who have been checked in recently or who have been checked in a certain number of times, and then move on to communicate directly with the parent by email or SMS.
02-Jun-2016 - Change logs - Rotas
Now that you can delegate out the oversight of a rota we've added a 'Changes' section to the "Recent Activity" section of the rota view page within ChurchApp, so you can keep up to date on changes to core information, and even undo changes!
02-Jun-2016 - Multi-date event sign-up to sequence
If you create a sequence of events which have sign-up you can now allow people to sign up once for all dates in the event sequence in one go. Great for your multi-date Alpha course where you just need people to sign-up once for all dates in the course sequence.
01-Jun-2016 - Calendar view period
The Calendar page within ChurchApp can now be extended to show a longer time period up to 12 months ahead. Easier navigation and great for forward planning!
31-May-2016 - Event-Booking Link
When deleting an event with linked bookings, and vice versa, you now have the option to delete those linked bookings/events - enabling you to keep your data a little tidier.
27-May-2016 - Rotas - Change start time for a date on a rota
You can now change the start time for individual dates on a rota using the "Edit date" menu option on the date. Notes have also been moved here. Rota reminders and clash detection respect the new start time.
27-May-2016 - Rotas - Change rota times
You can now edit the start and end times of a rota and this change will update all dates within the rotation that had the pre-update times. Added dates, and dates with times that have been manually changed, remain unaffected. Rota reminders and clash detection respects the new times.
27-May-2016 - Rotas sign-up
In the Rotas module, on a rota-by-rota basis, you can enable 'sign-up', which enables serving team members to sign-up to future dates on a rota in My Rotas. Set a sign-up capacity for all dates on a rota, or on a 'per date' basis. Now you can publish an empty rota and invite your ministry members to sign-up when they're available. Members are assigned the roles they have in the ministry. Clash detection to prevent sign-up if they're already serving on another rota on the same date/time.
26-May-2016 - Rotas - Draft Status
New Rotas are now created with a Draft status and hidden from My ChurchApp by default until Published. Now you can populate a rota before it goes live.
26-May-2016 - Rotas - Edit times for rotas and dates independently
Within ChurchApp you can now edit the rota times for your serving team members. You can make a global change to your entire rota or set different times on a 'per date' basis - ideal for special services and one off events. Clash detection continues to respect the changes in serving times.
18-May-2016 - Children "Years" report filtering
You can now filter the "Years" report within the Children module by Group as well as Tag, perfect to be able to communicate with children within a specific group who will change to a new group soon.
17-May-2016 - Giving CSV import - Gift Aid override
When importing donations from a CSV file into ChurchApp, you can now include an extra column that represents the "Gift Aid Override" option, forcing Gift Aid not to be claimed on the donation.
16-May-2016 - Clash and allowance detection for leave
When adding leave there is now a 'clash detection' feature to stop you adding leave on the same day twice in error. You'll also be prevented from exceeding your leave allowance, unless you select the "override allowance" option.
16-May-2016 - Enhanced Giver merge fucntionality for the Giving module
When duplicate Givers are identified in the Giving module (either from a visual 'Information' indicator now displayed on a duplicate Giver's profile page, or in the Duplicate Giver's 'data cleansing' report), you can now merge the duplicate Givers, choosing which information from each Giver you wish to merge and retain.
11-May-2016 - Child import full_name column
When importing data into the Children module, you can now import using the full_name column when you have both the first name and the last name of a child in a single column. ChurchApp will intelligently break apart this data into separate first and last names for you.
09-May-2016 - Enhanced Contact merge fucntionality for Address Book and Children modules
When duplicate contacts are identified in the Address Book or Children module (either from a visual 'Information' indicator now displayed on a duplicate contact's profile page, or in the Potential Duplicates 'data cleansing' report), you can now merge the duplicate contacts, choosing which information from each contact you wish to merge and retain.
09-May-2016 - Add Calendar to Google
You can now add your ChurchApp calendar to your Google calendar with a single click. Google will refresh with the ChurchApp calendar once every 24 hours to keep you up to date.
09-May-2016 - Date pickers respect Calendar settings
Date Pickers will now respect the 'Week Starts On' day set in your Calendar module settings. If you've not got the Calendar module installed this will default to Monday, or Sunday in the US.
03-May-2016 - International school years support
We now display school years in the local format for the following locations: Great Britain (with specific support for Scotland and Northern Ireland separately), Australia (all regions), Canada, France, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland and North America.
01-May-2016 - 'Date' Booking Type & Resource Questions
You can now create Booking Type and Resource questions with a 'date' type, meaning bookings can include important information like 'Date of booking approval'. Date formats are also region-specific.
13-May-2016 - New Contact Notifications
You can now specify an email address to notify, in the Address Book Connect options, when new contacts are created via Connect's My Details. Separate multiple email notifications with a comma.
13-May-2016 - My Details - Add Fiancé/Fiancée
Within Connect's My Details if you select the "Engaged" marital status you can now add your Fiancé/Fiancée in the form.
02-May-2016 - 'Date' Event Questions
You can now create event questions with a 'date' type, meaning event signups can include important information like 'Date of Birth'. Date formats are also region-specific.
31-May-2016 - Overseers can add and manage rotas in My ChurchApp
In My Rotas, ministry Overseers can now add and manage rotas. This significant enhancement brings all the functionality of the Rotas module into My Rotas. Overseers can manage teams, members and roles, and create draft rotas and then publish them.
26-May-2016 - My Events - Question Responses
Overseers can now view a the question responses of sign-ups (if there are any) when clicking on the signup on an event view in My Events.
25-May-2016 - My Rotas - add to Google Calendar
You can now add your personal rota serving dates to your Google Calendar account with a single click from within My ChurchApp.
24-May-2016 - My Rotas reduced scrolling for Smart phone apps
In My Rotas on our Android and iOS apps, when viewing serving dates in the future on a small-screen device like a Smart phone, 'past' dates in the current month are no longer displayed, in order to reduce the amount of scrolling. 'Past' dates in the current month will continue to display for larger screen devices and in a browser, in order to preserve the column alignment of dates from month to month.
