
We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchSuite, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchSuite between 13th November 2024 and 12th March 2025.

November 22nd, 2024 Improved Advanced Search usability
When using Advanced Search with multiple fields being searched, the long list of fields could feel quite cumbersome. We've made improvements so that you first select the field you want to search from the list, which is then displayed for you to enter your criteria. With this update it's now much easier to see the filters that have been applied at a glance, without needing to scroll through the list.
November 29th, 2024 Modernised child group Attendance tab
When viewing the Attendance tab for a Group in the Children module, you'll find that the layout and visuals have been modernised so that they match the equivalent views in the Attendance and Small Groups modules.
December 9th, 2024 A more accessible colour palette
We've made some adjustments to the colours used throughout the admin application, updating them to make them compliant with WCAG AA. These changes have been made as part of a wider review and updates towards better accessibility throughout the application for those with disabilities.
December 13th, 2024 New contact "Student Details" preset
For customers who have enable student fields in the Address Book module, we've added a new "Student Details" preset, allowing you to see the university, course and years columns in the results table from the main Contacts page.
December 13th, 2024 Personal Leave iCal Feed
We've added a new iCal feed to the Calendar module so that you can subscribe to personal leave requests for your user, rather than seeing all leave for all users.
December 16th, 2024 Updated rich text editing
We've updated our rich text editor so that emails, descriptions and messages are easier to write and style. We've also ensured that description previews for things like events, bookings, ministries and small groups more accurately represent the experience on public pages and within My ChurchSuite.
December 23rd, 2024 Support for Swedish School Years
We've added School Year support for Sweden, selectable through the Children module settings.
January 6th, 2025 Giving Tag Snapshots Widget
We've added a new Dashboard Widget enabling you to view Tag Snapshots from the Giving module.
January 10th, 2025 Flow automation now available!
It's now possible to mark a Flow Stage as being automated, including being able to choose at what time it will be processed. When a stage is automated, any due or overdue people will be automatically processed, with the automated actions processed for you without any interaction! This new functionality unlocks the potential for automated reminder emails relating to background checks, automated birthday messages... and a whole lot more!
January 14th, 2025 Tap to Donate app now available in beta
We're excited to unveil a public beta version of our brand new giving app designed to collect anonymous small donations in a contactless user experience. Use the app on a device at a fixed giving kiosk or circulate a device as part of taking up an offering at in-person events and gatherings. The giver simply chooses a preset amount or enters a custom amount and taps their card to donate to a designated Giving module fund. The app is compatible with iOS and Android NFC-enabled devices. It uses the device's built-in NFC reader to collect donations with a simple card tap without requiring an additional external card reader. Tap to Donate supports donations in GBP. January 27th, 2025 Conditional Form Fields
It's now possible to show/hide a form field based on the values of another field in a form. Now an overwhelming form can be limited to a small number of visible fields and grow as data is entered.
January 27th, 2025 New 'Details' form field element
We've added a simple combined Name, Email, Mobile and Telephone field for forms to help speed up form creation. Furthermore you can choose which of those pieces of information are required on a field by field basis.
February 3rd, 2025 Network "Members" section
We've added a "Members" section to the Network module, giving you easy access to browse the list of people who are members of active organisations. Using the search filters, you can filter the list down to members with particular role(s) within organisations with particular label(s). Using the actions at the top of the table, you can send out emails/SMS, download the data as a CSV file or print out address labels/name badges for those listed.
February 4th, 2025 Added "Joined" date to group members
When viewing the Members table for a Small Group, you'll find there's a new "Joined" date in the table that's displayed. This date shows the date on which the member was added to the group, but if you'd like to adjust that, simply choose to "Edit" the group member and make the change in the popup that loads. When viewing a group, if you'd like to see which members have been part of a group for the longest, simply click on the "Joined" table heading to change the ordering from the default Name order.
February 4th, 2025 Communications Reports
The Communication reports have been updated and now continue to show logs for people after they have been deleted. Since the person has been deleted, users are unable to click through to their profile. Instead, the report shows the deleted person's email address. This applies where the deleted person is the sole recipient of a communication and where the message was sent to multiple recipients.
February 10th, 2025 Givers Table Generator functionality has moved
The Table Generator reporting functionality for givers has moved into the Givers section of the module where users are more typically working. Using the Advanced Search and optional column functionality, users can generate custom tables of giver data. We have a CSV download icon at the top of the table so that the filtered table results can be easily downloaded in a format for printing or use in an external application. The legacy Table Generator report remains active but will eventually be retired when users have become familiar with the new process for generating custom tables of data.

February 10th, 2025 Giver "Download CSV" and "Print" updates
The functionality to allow you to download a CSV file or print address labels for Givers has moved - you'll now find it available at the top of the table on the Givers page. When using these options, you'll find that the givers that are downloaded/printed respect any search filters you may have applied. When printing, there's a new option to allow you to print name badges, as well as increased flexibility of label sizes and customisation for address labels.

February 10th, 2025 Accessing Developer JSON feeds
When managing an Embed Configuration in either the Bookings, Calendar or Small Groups modules, you'll find a new "Developer JSON" option has appeared under the "More" menu. Clicking the "Developer JSON" option will take you to the JSON feed of raw data. This JSON feed can be helpful if you want to style events in your website with some custom formatting, or if you want to programatically control your venue's central heating based on bookings. For some usage examples showing how the JSON feeds can be processed, visit our sample website at https://kingshope.church/events.
February 13th, 2025 Filtering by "NOT in tag"
Across the index pages for Contacts, Children, Customers and Givers, you'll find an updated Advanced Search "Tags" filter allowing you to filter by both people who are included in a tag, as well as those who are not. Using the following example: ✅ Leader ✅ Elder ❌ In a small group ❌ In a serving team The above would filter results as follows: "all people who (are in "Leader" OR "Elder") AND NOT (are in "In a small group" OR "In a serving team"). If you find yourself needing to generate results with greater control over the logical operators being applied, we'd recommend you create a Smart Tag.
March 3rd, 2025 Small Group Attendance Reminders
Small groups now have customisable attendance submission reminders. Once enabled for a group, members who are designated with the "Attendance submission" role option will receive an email notification reminding them to enter the recent group attendance or record that their group didn't meet. For each group, set a preferred reminder frequency and notification time. The email even contains a handy My ChurchSuite link that opens their group to view in My Groups.
March 3rd, 2025 Small Groups "Exceptional Groups" report
We've removed the "Exceptional Groups" report that was previously found in the Small Groups module. In its place, we've added an "Attendees" filter to the Attendance section, allowing you to search for group attendance records that match the number range from your search.
March 4th, 2025 Small Group Roles section updates
We've updated the layout of the Roles section within the Small Groups module. Alongside improved clarity around the settings that are enabled for each role, we've also made reordering easier with larger drag/drop handles. Clicking on the name of a role will take you to the Members section with the list of people filtered by that role.
Donate
December 12th, 2024 Simpler workflow for first-time givers
We've made a number of improvements to the flow for first-time givers who use Donate. A first-time giver will no longer receive a security code by email - this will only trigger for returning givers. We've also made some calibration changes relating to bot detection, which should result in fewer givers seeing the recaptcha challenge as they work through the donation process.
December 17th, 2024 Customisable preset amounts for Tap to Donate
Accounts participating the Tap to Donate beta, our contactless donations app, will now find a new Amounts field available when editing a fund. This field allows you to specify the preset amounts suggested to the giver at the point of donation, offering per-fund customisation.
