We know that effective training is absolutely crucial in ensuring that your staff and volunteers can make the most of ChurchSuite. We're passionate about providing great customer support, backed up by an extensive library of free training videos - and now this is available to every user right within their account!
My Training is a new tool that's integrated into ChurchSuite itself, bringing together our library of training videos in a structured way to help your users systematically train themselves on how the system works. Here's Gavin giving an overview:
Introducing... My Training!
Once logged in, users can access the new My Training section by clicking on their profile picture in the top right-hand corner and selecting "My Training." On the starting page, there's an "Up next" section that provides some easy options to dive right in, as well as a "Progress" section that provides an overview of the user's progress across all training categories.
After clicking on a category, users are presented with a list of videos to watch. It's easy to filter videos by category or even search for a specific video, so users can get the exact training they need!
To watch a video, simply click it and press play. If a user starts watching a video and something urgent comes up, or perhaps they want to try some of the things they are learning about straight away, no problem: the video player tracks a user's progress through a video to help them revisit the exact location where they left off.
Finally, if a user has previously watched a video, perhaps in one of our support articles, they can simply click the "Mark as watched" button to record that.
Motivated to learn
Seeing the green progress bar expand as you work your way through the videos is encouraging, but nothing beats a nice progress badge to tell you "well done"! Badges are automatically awarded to users as they reach milestones in their training, particularly rewarding users who consistently engage over days, weeks, and months. If wanting to learn about ChurchSuite isn't motivation enough for a user, earning badges as they progress through My Training might well do the trick!
Tools for line managers
Sometimes it can be helpful for line managers or administrators to have an overview of a staff member's progress through My Training. If you're an Administrator within your account, simply click on a user's profile page and you'll see the new "Training" tab that gives you an overview of their progress as well as the ability to see the specific videos that have been started/watched.
