We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchSuite, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchSuite between 8th October 2021 and 19th January 2022.
January 14th, 2022 Flow updates
We've completely redesigned Flows in the Address Book, Children, Giving and Bookings modules, making them easier to add and edit in pop-ups, and process people in a clearer, less overwhelming pop-up. They're also more performant, especially Flows with lots and lots of people pending processing. The modernised interface makes Flows easier to use 'on the go' in apps, and provides a cleaner browser user experience.
December 21st, 2021 Serving decline notifications for overseers
Ministry overseers now receive timely notifications when rota members decline a future rota date they've been assigned to, when processed from either their personal rota page, or from within My ChurchSuite. The overseer decline notification is intentionally deferred for between 15-30 minutes, enabling the system to group together multiple declines from rota members for the same ministry into a single, curated notification. So, a rota member who initially declines, but then quickly accepts won't trigger a false decline notification. Similarly, a rota member who quickly declines several dates on the same rota will trigger a single overseer notification.
December 1st, 2021 Site pills for people now respect site colour
When editing a contact, child, visitor, customer or user, site 'pills' now display with the respective site colour.
November 26th, 2021 Empty tags now supported
We've removed the constraint that previously prevented a user from creating an empty tag. Now you can add tags without being required to assign anyone to the tag - ideal if you're setting up new tags ready for future use.
November 22nd, 2021 Further customise the data protection checkbox on ChurchSuite forms
If you head into the Profile section of the Administrator area, we've added a new "Help" field to the Data Protection section. This field can be used to add you own custom helper text to the data protection confirmation checkbox that's surfaced on all ChurchSuite forms that collect personal information. We've also updated the 'call to action' to a more concise "I accept your [Privacy Notice]". Note, the data protection confirmation is only surfaced if you've first added your privacy notice or data protection statement in your ChurchSuite Profile.
November 16th, 2021 New 'fund totals only' option for giver statements
We've added a new 'Fund totals only' option to Statement of Donations report in the Giving module. This new option is ideal for customers wishing to produce statements without all the 'line level' donation detail, but with a summarised donation total for each fund they've given to.
October 29th, 2021 Adding plan items just got easier!
We've just released an update to Plans, making it easier to add a plan item at a specific point between existing items. When you hover over a plan item, you'll now find a "+" icon towards the left of your screen - click on it and you'll be able to add a new plan item immediately after it. There's also a new "Add item after" option in the action menu, which is available for touch devices. Happy planning!
October 18th, 2021 Flow add to ministry action
To bring consistency with Form actions, you can now add contacts and children to a ministry and team through a Flows action in the Address Book and Children modules.
October 14th, 2021 Featured event feed for signup sequences
For featured event sequences with 'signup to the sequence' disabled, we now show all future sequence dates in the feed. Previously we only showed the next uniquely-named date in the sequence. So, for a monthly newcomer event sequence or a recurring weekly Sunday service (with sequence signup disabled), prospective signups now see all future featured events in the feed and can sign up to any event in the sequence where signup is active. However, for something like a 10-week discipleship course (with sequence signup enabled), we continue to only show the next featured event date in the sequence.
October 11th, 2021 Unlimited Site Colours
For multi-site customers, we've updated the selection of site colours. You can now choose from a palette of 12 beautiful preset colours, or use a hex value to set any colour you wish - check out a location report to see them in action!
