We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchSuite, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchSuite between 17th June 2021 and 4th August 2021.
ChurchSuite
August 4th, 2021 Editing people through Form responses
We've now added the option of editing existing contacts and children within ChurchSuite using a form response. The table of responses now highlights differences between smart linked field response values and the linked person. A new 'Edit person' action exists to see the difference and optionally update your records.
August 4th, 2021 Intelligent person-linking suggestions on Form responses
We've added person detection to form responses. When you're choosing to link a form response to people in your database we'll automatically compare the response data with existing data to suggest some best matches.
July 29th, 2021 Updated report interface
We've updated the Reports index pages, giving them a cleaner look and improved readability. You'll also find the search functionality to be clearer and more efficient.
July 22nd, 2021 Archiving gatherings
Children module gatherings now have a 'status' and they can now be easily archived when no longer needed, or set active again if needed in the future - ideal for your Holiday Club gathering that's only needed once a year! Only active gatherings surface in the Child Check-in system. Importantly, archiving a gathering keeps all the related group data, group member lists and historic group attendance in tact and fully-reportable.
July 15th, 2021 All sites users
For customers using our multi-site functionality we've added a new "All sites" permission for users on their account. Previously an administrator could grant site permissions for a single site or multiple sites. This new permission gives your users permissions for all of your current sites and any new sites you may add in the future, saving time when adding new sites. Users with 'All sites' permissions are able to optionally assign contacts, children, visitors and customers to 'All sites'.
July 15th, 2021 Multi-site people
Multi-site customers can now assign the people in their ChurchSuite modules to multiple sites, giving even more flexibility when managing people in a multi-site context. People's sites can now be set as single site, multiple sites, or a brand new 'All sites' option that means they belong to all of your current sites and any future sites you may add. These changes apply to contacts (Address Book), children and visitors (Children) and customers (Bookings). Note that for reporting and Gift Aid claim purposes, givers continue to be single-site only. For linked givers, their site is now independent of the linked contact's site; which means a multi-site contact's linked giver profile has just one selected site.
July 5th, 2021 Embeddable form URL
We've added a new optional parameter to form URLs to hide the logo and heading if you're choosing to embed public forms within another webpage using an iframe. Just add '?iframe=true' to the end of the form URL e.g. https://demo.churchsuite.co.uk/forms/7udhxgqd?iframe=true
June 30th, 2021 Customisable forms have arrived!
We're thrilled to announce that the most popular feature request from our customers - ever - has arrived! Having accelerated development, we're now opening access to the beta version of our new Forms feature to all accounts. Whether you're looking to solicit volunteer availability as you re-start your services, putting together an application form for your internship programme, or creating an event booking/communication workflow for others to complete, we think you'll find Forms incredibly helpful.
My ChurchSuite
July 15th, 2021 My Events and My Groups get a makeover
We've added tabs to the My Events and My Groups sections in My ChurchSuite, making the content much clearer for your members. For events, the tabs for "Calendar", "My Events" and "My Invites" more clearly distinguish your calendar of all events from those events a person has signed up to or oversees, and their event invitations. And for small groups, the tabs for "My Groups", "Sign Up" and "Clusters" more clearly distinguish the groups a person belongs to, other groups available for sign-up, and the cluster groups the person oversees.
