We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchSuite, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchSuite between 1st August - 11th September 2020.
ChurchSuite
08-Sep-2020 - Default 'Show on calendar" for unlinked bookings
We've added a Bookings module option for "Show on calendar" that will be applied to new unlinked bookings by default. If you like all your unlinked bookings to show on the events calendar, this module setting now makes that possible!

You can now filter the Pledges Active, Pledge Progress and Total Pledge reports in the Giving module by "Method", making it easier to distinguish Donate pledges made by card or direct debit. We also surface a helpful card or DD icon in the report results, consistent with the pledge distinction already shown on a giver's profile on the Pledges tab.

Sometimes you might want to send an invoice to a treasurer or someone who doesn't have a ChurchSuite login. Within the Billing section, you're now given the option to enter the email address of a different person to receive the invoice, meaning it doesn't always have to be sent to the logged in user. Monthly invoices continue to be sent to the Billing Contact on your billing day.

We've made some updates to Sessions so they now have their own index within the Children module. This has brought about some exciting new functionality. We've also introduced Session Templates - reducing issues caused when users unnecessarily create new sessions with variants on a theme for the naming convention. Create a template for each of your recurring child check-in sessions, e.g. "9:30 Service" or "Thursday Youth Club". On the relevant day the appropriate templates will be automatically suggested when starting a session in the Child Check-In system.Historic sessions can now be managed from the same Sessions index as session templates - the old 'Check-In Sessions' report has been retired.

We've made some updates to Visitors so they now have their own index and view pages within the Children module. This has brought about some new functionality including being able to add visitors in ChurchSuite, and making it much easier to manage visitor information from the index.Visitors now have a profile page, just like children, better-enabling you to work with visitors and their parents as they connect with your organisation. The visitor index includes an advanced search and batch actions, so that you can still do all the things you could previously do on the Visitors report (which has now been removed).
