From time to time, we need to take ChurchSuite offline as we make significant updates and changes to the infrastructure on which ChurchSuite runs.
When will this be?
On Sunday 13th May at 7pm BST (see this in your timezone) we're performing scheduled server maintenance to ChurchSuite, during which time the service will be unavailable. We anticipate this planned outage will take between 2 and 4 hours to perform.
Why are you doing this?
For the past 12 months, we've been planning a significant change to our infrastructure, which we believe will increase overall performance, whilst also giving us the ability to continue scaling up as we serve thousands of churches each month. We will use this maintenance period to complete the migration of all of our core infrastructure over to Amazon's cloud platform, AWS.
What will I/my church notice?
During this time, ChurchSuite will be offline and unavailable to both your users and church members. Those accessing ChurchSuite, Connect, Donate and My ChurchSuite during this time will see an information message explaining that the system is offline for scheduled maintenance. Our API will appear as being offline which might temporarily affect any website integrations that pull data from ChurchSuite. Any scheduled emails sent from within ChurchSuite prior to the maintenance starting will be sent as scheduled. If you were planning to use any of ChurchSuite's functionality during the scheduled maintenance window, we ask that you begin to plan now using alternative or manual methods.
While any planned service downtime is obviously an inconvenience, it is on this occasion absolutely necessary. During the maintenance period, we will post updates on our blog to keep you posted a to how things are progressing.
