We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchSuite, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchSuite between 14th October - 28th November 2017.
23-Nov-2017 - Children - Attendance Date report
We've added a new Attendance Date report for the Children module so that you can see across all sessions and all groups who was in attendance for a given date. Ideal to give you a snapshot for your safeguarding records that you can download as a CSV file and keep in a secure backup.
10-Nov-2017 - Student Smart Tags supported
New Smart Tags have been included for Students, if selected in Module options.
Is Student? - already available
The new options are:
University, Course, Year Start, Year End
03-Nov-2017 - Children attendance
When viewing old attendance data we now display more information about child check-ins.
02-Nov-2017 - Password Reset Requests
We now log My ChurchSuite password reset requests in the contact's communication logs, and we log User password reset requests in the user's communication logs, viewable in the Administrator section.
26-Oct-2017 - Parent search for non-members
You can now make sure multiple children with the same non address book parent have the same information because we've added a parent search for non members.
25-Oct-2017 - Intelligent rota swapping
When swapping a rota member on a rota you now get a list of suggested people who already fulfil that role within that ministry team. You no longer need to search by name.
25-Oct-2017 - Intelligent rota suggestions
We've added the ability to see any potential clashes which might be caused by adding an individual to a rota. Previously you would need to attempt to add the member to rota before you knew if a clash was created - now it will predict the outcome before adding the individual.
25-Oct-2017 - Rotas Overview
We've made the rotas overview report editable so you can now see and edit multiple rotas from multiple ministries at the same time.
23-Oct-2017 - Key dates on contact and child profiles
We've overhauled key dates throughout the system making it easier to add, edit and remove key dates on contacts and children. You can now filter key dates right on the contact or child profiles to drill down to the desired information quickly.
23-Oct-2017 - Key date visibility
You can now restrict the visibility of key dates to yourself or specific user groups.
23-Oct-2017 - Key dates colours
We've added colours to key dates so you can easily distinguish important key dates on a contact or child.
18-Oct-2017 - Event Invites
You can now send invitations to contacts and children within ChurchSuite sending them an email which they can accept or decline with a single click.
17-Oct-2017 - Progressive password encryption
We've completed a full audit of our password encryption technology which covers both user and member logins. We've built in an auto-enhancing password encryption technique, meaning that we will always encrypt passwords with the strongest algorithm available.
Currently this uses the bcrypt algorithm; MD5 hashes (which are generally considered to provide poor password security) are never within ChurchSuite. As stronger algorithms become available, we will automatically upgrade the currently stored encrypted password as users and members log in.
16-Oct-2017 - Fund brands
You can now assign a brand to a Fund in the Giving module meaning your Donate pages can have a different colour scheme and logo for a fund page.
14-Oct-2017 - Filtering event sign-ups
You can now filter the list of sign-ups for an event for those in your Address Book, Children module or those not in ChurchSuite.
07-Nov-2017 - PayFast support for South Africa!
In order to better support our customer base in South Africa, we now support PayFast payments for events. The PayFast integration can be found under Administrator > Integrations, and once complete, you can accept online payments for events through PayFast immediately!
