We've completed a full audit of our password encryption technology which covers both user and member logins. We've built in an auto-enhancing password encryption technique, meaning that we will always encrypt passwords with the strongest algorithm available.
Currently this uses the bcrypt algorithm; MD5 hashes (which are generally considered to provide poor password security) are never within ChurchSuite. As stronger algorithms become available, we will automatically upgrade the currently stored encrypted password as users and members log in.16-Oct-2017 - Fund brands
