We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchApp, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchApp between
26th October - 2nd December 2016.
25-Nov-2016 - New User logins report
Administrators can now see a list of login attempts to ChurchApp and ChurchApp Connect including; whether that login was successful, the username used and the length of the password that was tried. You can also see the device used and the IP address the attempt was from.
25-Nov-2016 - Booking - Full Details report
We've added a 'Full Details' report to the Bookings module. You can now get a comprehensive printable and email-able list of bookings filtered by resources and booking types. The report can optionally include all the answers to booking questions recorded at the time of booking.
22-Nov-2016 - New User Permissions report
We now have a simple tabular report for administrators that allows them to see and edit the user permissions of each user within ChurchApp.
22-Nov-2016 - New Administrator/User Reports
We've added a reports section to the administrator and user sections full of useful reports specific to users and administrating them.
22-Nov-2016 - New Communication Report for Users
Now users without access to the address book can see a report of their own communication in the User section. Administrators can see a similar report including all users which is filterable by user.
21-Nov-2016 - Parent Smart Tag options
When using the "Is a parent?" Address Book Smart Tag option, you can now also specify the relationship between the adult and child, e.g. Aunt/Uncle, Grandparent, etc.
18-Nov-2016 - Flows - custom Key Date when processing
When processing a contact through a Flow, if a Key Date is being added, you're now able to override the default of today's date within the popup, saving you from needing to click through to edit the date afterwards if you want a date other than today.
17-Nov-2016 - Updated MailChimp Integration
We've updated the MailChimp integration with a bunch of cool new features. You can now sync lists individually as well as see a comprehensive sync log showing you who has been added and updated on your list. You can even see which email addresses have chosen to unsubscribe from the list.
17-Nov-2016 - New Ministry Roles editor
We've added a really handy pop-up for adding and editing ministry roles right from within the Ministry edit page. This gives a whole new, and much-improved, workflow to creating new Ministries and rotas.
17-Nov-2016 - UK Regional training dates for 2017
The 2017 UK Regional Training Day dates are now confirmed and available for sign up. Training days are really popular, great value and an ideal way to quickly up-skill your users, network with others and explore new features you might not yet be using - plus you'll get a sneak peek at some of the planned new features for ChurchApp. With more locations in 2017 than ever, there's bound to be a training day happening near you; so make sure you get a training day included in your church's budget for next year!
16-Nov-2016 - Feedback success messages
Throughout ChurchApp, when you add or edit a record and save the changes, the 'feedback success' message now floats at the top of the content of the window and then fades out after a few seconds.
10-Nov-2016 - Filter children attendance reports by Tag
You can now further filter the Attendance Averages and Attendance Summary reports in the Children module by Tags. So, for example, you can easily review attendance across your youth groups for regular attendees that are in your "Not in a small group" Tag to invite them to join a new youth small group you're starting.
10-Nov-2016 - New Smart Tag conditions for Communication Options
We've added Smart Tag conditions for the Address Book module for Communications Options - Name is Visible? Address is Visible? Email is Visible? Mobile is Visible? Telephone is Visible? - making it easier to identify and match contacts that have particular privacy settings enabled or disabled.
08-Nov-2016 - Sex 'unknown'
There is now the option for contacts to be added to the Address Book and Children modules with sex as 'Unknown'.
08-Nov-2016 - Duplicate a Flow
We've added in the ability to duplicate a Flow - perfect when you have similar but different processes for different areas of ministry.
07-Nov-2016 - Multisite Smart Tags
When you're viewing All Sites you can now specify which site the contact, child or giver is from as a smart tag condition. Multisite condition smart tags will only be visible when viewing as "All Sites".
03-Nov-2016 - Rotas Overview report can now show empty dates
If you're on a hunt for gaps in your rotas you can now show empty rota dates in the Rotas Overview report in the Rotas module.
02-Nov-2016 - Archiving children's groups
We've made it possible to archive children's groups within ChurchApp's Children module. Importantly the historic group attendance data is kept and continues to show against each child's contact profile; but all children assigned to the group will be removed and unlinked. Be aware that this process is not reversible!
31-Oct-2016 - Featured events now show one event per sequence
We've updated the Featured Events feed for Embed and My ChurchApp to only show the next event for each sequence. Now your featured events feed won't be clogged up with duplicates events from the same sequence, allowing your one-off events to stand out more.
28-Oct-2016 - Event-level maximum ticket quantity
We've added a field for 'Maximum Tickets' for an event. This setting will work alongside your existing ticket-level quantities to make sure you don't oversell a particular ticket type or oversell your event!
27-Oct-2016 - 'Date Added' column on Unavailability page
We've added a new 'Date Added' column to the Unavailability page in the Rotas module. Now you can see exactly when the unavailability was added and which user added it.
27-Oct-2016 - Formal Name with Title on labels
We've added the option to use the contact Title before the formal name when printing labels from all our Communication pages.
27-Oct-2016 - Inserting images into emails
We've made it much easier to insert images into the body content of emails in ChurchApp. The image picker tool now lets you to add (browse or drag and drop) a file from your desktop without having to first upload the file online first.
27-Oct-2016 - Ministry notes
We've added Notes to ministries in the Rotas module, making it super easy to keep a record of conversations and ministry changes as you're planning ahead before creating rotas.
26-Oct-2016 - New printing options for children registers and name badges
When printing the register or name badges for a children's group you can now filter the report by Tag and optionally show the medical short field. These same options are also available when viewing a Children module Tag, so you can now print registers and badges directly from the Tag page and optionally show the medical short field too.
15-Nov-2016 - Making the Email/Mobile fields optional
Within the My Details form in ChurchApp Connect, you can now choose whether you want the Email and Mobile/Cellular fields to be required or not.
27-Oct-2016 - Dedicated Connect user permissions
We've added in a new "Connect" permission level against users, meaning that you can now create a user that has permission to access ChurchApp Connect's Child Check-In or My Details applications, but can't access any data within the Address Book or Children modules within ChurchApp.
15-Nov-2016 - Making the Email/Mobile fields optional
Within the My Details form in ChurchApp Embed, you can now choose whether you want the Email and Mobile/Cellular fields to be required or not.
