We're constantly updating and enhancing ChurchApp, often building directly upon customer feedback to guide our development. The following lists some changes that were made to ChurchApp between
16th September - 25th October 2016.
24-Oct-2016 - Updated tables
We've done a huge overhaul of tables within ChurchApp. We've added 'sticky' headers and columns for big scrollable tables, made more and more tables sortable and made some massive improvements for those accessing ChurchApp through their tablets and mobiles.
24-Oct-2016 - Key Dates filter in Archive Contacts report
We've added the ability to filter the archive contacts by key dates so you see the journey of those who have left the church. Did they ever become a member when they were here? Were they baptised? etc.
21-Oct-2016 - Attendance multi-site support
Our Attendance module now better supports multi-site churches. When working with categories, you can now assign them to specific sites, and when adding new service data, you first select the site you're adding data for, which then displays just the relevant categories for you to record data.
19-Oct-2016 - Repeating - Last day in the month
When working with events and bookings that repeat, we've now made it possible to select the last instance of a day in the month, i.e. the last Friday in the month; simply choose the "Monthly - Last" option from the drop-down menu.
18-Oct-2016 - Duplicating resources
We've added in a new button that allows you to quickly duplicate a resource within the Bookings module - saves you time re-typing things when multiple resources have an almost identical setup.
17-Oct-2016 - Selecting multiple resources
We've made adding multiple resources to a booking easier than ever - simply select from the list of resources and then click "+ Add resources" - all of your selected resources will be added at once. See it in action here: http://g.recordit.co/FN4izxIEfy.gif
06-Oct-2016 - New icons for linked bookings and events
We've added a few handy icons to the event list and booking list in ChurchApp. There's an icon to show you, at a glance, if your booking is showing in the calendar or not and there's an icon to show you if an event has a linked booking.
06-Oct-2016 - Forwarding emails
Your can now easily forward emails that you've previously sent through ChurchApp. Simply locate a previously sent email from the Communication report in the Address Book module and click 'Forward email'. The email compose window re-opens with all the previous recipients so you can re-send it, or add an entirely new list of recipients.
30-Sep-2016 - One-off Gift Aid Declarations
For churches using envelope giving, there are times when you need to make a single donation Gift Aid claimable. When either adding in a single donation or adding a batch, you now have the ability to select whether the Gift Aid should be "Auto-detected" (ChurchApp will check the Giver's existing Declarations), "One-off" (ChurchApp will create a new Declaration for just that one donation) or "Override" (Gift Aid should never be claimed on the donation).
28-Sep-2016 - Small Group 'Missing Attendance' report - New options
We've added a few new filtering options to the Small Groups "Missing Attendance" report to help you stay on top of attendance submission. You can now easily see a list of groups who haven't submitted attendance in 1 week or more, 2 weeks or more, or 3 weeks or more.
27-Sep-2016 - Duplicating tags
Throughout the Address Book, Children, Giving and Small Groups module, we've added the ability to duplicate tags. Whether they're a Smart Tag or a Fixed tag, you can now duplicate in just a couple of clicks.
25-Sep-2016 - Twilio integration now supports 'friendly names'
ChurchApp's Twilio integration now supports 'friendly names', which you can assign to each of your Twilio telephone numbers in your Twilio control panel. Now it's much easier for your users to select their correct 'from' number when composing an SMS message within ChurchApp.
23-Sep-2016 - MailChimp integration - 2-way sync
We've added a 2-way sync option to MailChimp lists. If this option is enabled, the integration will delete from the MailChimp list anyone who is not in the associated Tag(s) as well as add new people to the Tag.
22-Sep-2016 - New CSV export options in Address Book and Children
You can now export a CSV file with Contact ID, Spouse ID, Student details and Site Name from the Address Book module. You can also export a CSV file with Child ID, Parent ID, Parent relationship, Parent telephone and Site Name in the Children module.
16-Sep-2016 - New Report - Event Visibility
We've added a new report to the Calendar module that displays the visibility settings for all your events. Filter the list by event category or date range, and simply click the visibility icons to toggle the setting. Making bulk changes to lots of events is now really quick, easy and intuitive!
22-Sep-2016 - New Child check-In process: Register first, check-in later
When starting a child check-in session, you can now run child check-in as a two stage process; registering children and visitors (including printing badges) before the service and then checking in registered children quickly from the admin area when the children arrive for their groups. With two-stage check-in the attendance record is only created in the Children module when the child is actually handed over to your care and check-in.
16-Sep-2016 - New ratio-based capacity indicator in Child Check-In
If you've not set a children's group capacity, but you have set an adult-to-child ratio, then you'll see a new, intuitive progress bar on the Check-In admin page. As you get more adult team members your capacity increases. And as more children check-in your capacity reduces. A great way to help safeguard and keep your children and volunteers safe.
29-Sep-2016 - Donations every two weeks
We've added the ability to make a recurring online donation every two weeks, alongside the existing options of weekly and monthly. This option works both for Direct Debit and card donations.
24-Oct-2016 - Embed Featured Events
You can now filter the embeddable Featured Events list by category and opt to display a category selector. This makes the embeddable list much more powerful and usable on your website.
21-Oct-2016 - Apple Pay for Events
If you have an active Stripe integration you will now be able to use Apple Pay to buy Event tickets on the Event pages. A great new feature which will make paying for events much easier for Apple users. This feature can be disabled by editing your Stripe integration in ChurchApp and unticking the "Enable Apple Pay" checkbox.
22-Sep-2016 - Improved rota swaps
Rota swaps in My ChurchApp are no longer restricted to just being within the same rota - you can now swap across any rotas created from the same underlying ministry. This means that your AM and PM worship team members can now swap - you'll even see the roles of the team member you're returning a swap for. You can swap between active and future published rotas too!
