Put your small groups on the map

ChurchApp has an excellent small group (or life group, home group, etc) module that gets a lot of use from our customers. Often, the same churches that use our small groups module have a list of small groups on their website, mainly so that newcomers can easily find groups to check out and, hopefully, become part of.

While ChurchApp makes managing your small groups easy, it is annoying when, everytime you change something in ChurchApp (like adding a new group or editing an existing group) you then have to go and change the exact same things on your church website. Not to mention the annoyance when things aren't kept up to date!

To tackle this, we've worked on something that we think will solve your pain... Today, we're announcing two brand-new goodies that you can drop into your church website!

1. Small Groups Map

Drop this beautiful map into your website and enable visitors to easily see where groups meet. They can click on a group to see more details (and, in the future, they'll be able to make contact as well).

2. Small Groups List

To accompany the map, we've also built in a list view that you can drop into your site either as an alternative, or alongside the map. We're really excited to see how our customers make use of these new additions!

How can I enable this on my account?

Simply go to the Small Group module, click on the little cog wheels button (top right corner) and go to the "Embed" tab. There, click to enable the map, the list, or both. This will reveal some code that you can copy and paste into your website. Don't forget to click "Save Changes" when you're done!

What goes without saying is that, when you make a change to your small groups in ChurchApp, it auto-updates your church website immediately, so that the two are never out of sync. What's more, you're in complete control of which groups make their way onto your map - you don't have to have all groups publicly listed.
